The Jets have run for at least 200 yards in four straight games against the Bills. While the New York run game struggled early in the year, it is starting to find its groove. Next up is a Buffalo defense that has allowed 4.9 yards per rush. This defense very well could be without its biggest standout, nose tackle Kyle Williams.
A talented rookie, Marcel Dareus could be in his place. Dareus had a big game against Washington last week, but he has never lined up against anybody like Nick Mangold before. Part of Buffalo's success was Washington only running it eleven times due to playing from behind. Mangold regularly has success against guys with bigger resumes. Controlling the point of attack up the middle is key for the run game. When the center wins against the nose tackle on his own, it frees up others to hit the second level. The Jets seem to be in good shape here.
Controlling the ball on the ground will allow the Jets to rest their defense against the potent Bills offense. If Gang Green comes anywhere near to replicating its recent success against the Bills, Buffalo is not going to see the ball often.
