After a trademark ugly first half, the Jets played their most complete half of the season to beat San Diego today 27-21 at the Meadowlands. Gang Green can feel good about itself heading into its week off. The team has found stability after a brutal three game stretch. This is a win against a high caliber opponent. Say what you will about San Diego's schedule. They are a 4-2 team with some of the best talent in the league.
The officials deserve a bit of the credit for this win. They gave the Jets a few calls. So did San Diego's Herm Edwards school of clock management final drive. They were smaller factors, though, than the Jets finally looking good on both sides of the ball against a quality opponent.
Go ahead and celebrate below. I will have the official recap up later than usual, but it will be up this evening.
