Hide your kids, hide your wife, Kenrick Ellis is coming out to play. That's right. Rich Cimini and the other beat writers are reporting that DE Ropati Pitoitua is doubtful for this Monday's matchup, making it very likely that DT Kenrick Ellis will be active. Mike Pettine has said that they expect the Dolphins to primarily run the ball, so they want to add some beef to the line. Someone hold Crackback down, quick.
This is, in my opinion, a good thing. I have a feeling Ellis is one of those players that just looks and plays better on gameday than he does in practice, and just needs some reps to show what he's got. He's been taking first-team snaps in place of Pitoitua this past week, and hopefully he'll make a play or two this weekend. His size, if nothing else, should help free some lanes up for Westerman and Maybin. Speaking of Westerman, Pettine also said that he's been doing better and has come a long way since the beginning of the season, and now just needs to work on consistency.
Let us know below what you think about these developments, and for you Ellis fans, feel free to start celebrating.
