Santonio Holmes and Things Getting Blown Out of Proportion

Santonio Holmes made some comments after the game that are sure to raise some eyebrows.

Santonio Holmes was not on the field for the Jets’ first snap of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, and he was not happy about it.

"Ask Coach Schottenheimer what was the reason behind that," he said, referring to offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.

It's important to keep in mind that he had to speak with the media not long after suffering a bitter loss. He had to watch his former team celebrate a trip to the Super Bowl without him. I feel like this is similar to comments Braylon Edwards made after last year's AFC Championship Game loss. Sure, he's probably frustrated about sitting more than he would like, but this hardly proves he has a big problem with Schottenheimer. He just sat a few plays.

I'm sure people will try and turn this into a big story, but let's not make a few words in the heat of the moment more than they really are.
