Brad Smith Likely In for AFC Championship Game

New, comments

While the Steelers have a Smith sitting the game out injured, the Jets will probably have one return to the lineup.

Smith said after practice that his left leg felt good and that he thought he would be able to play in Sunday’s A.F.C. championship game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It is tough to take Antonio Cromartie off kickoff returns, but Brad did return the opening kick against the Steelers for a touchdown in the first meeting. This will allow Cro to focus on defense and not risk injury running back kicks.

Adding Smith on offense will also help. His work in the Wildcat will add something to the run game and make Pittsburgh's defense think a little extra. He is also the kind of guy a defense has to account for when lined up wide in case of an end around.
