A Look at My Fantasy Team

Cbs_medium

We had our Gang Green Nation fantasy league draft last weekend. I wanted to share the team I selected with you.

Manning, Eli QB NYG

Jackson, Steven RB STL

 Mendenhall, Rashard RB

Foster, Arian RB HOU

Marshall, Brandon WR MIA

 Nicks, Hakeem WR NYG

Cooley, Chris TE WAS

 Feely, Jay K ARI

Giants DST

Roethlisberger, Ben QB

Forsett, Justin RB SEA

 Forte, Matt RB CHI

Britt, Kenny WR TEN

Jones, Jacoby WR HOU

Wallace, Mike WR PIT

This pretty well reflects a number of my drafting philosophies. In this age of splitting carries, there aren't a ton of legimitate number one backs out there. Grab as many as you can. That way you have depth. I don't love my receiving corps, but I tried to target guys with real breakout potential. Roethlisberger is going to be available for great value as a backup because he'll miss the first four games, and a lot of people won't want to root for him. I love Cooley as a value guy if you can't get Dallas Clark or Antonio Gates. I think Donovan McNabb will target him a lot. I picked my defense and kicker in the last two rounds. I mentioned it in an earlier post, but the difference between the best and number twelve defense just isn't big in fantasy. Plus they fluctuate wildly from year to year. A defense that will emerge is always out there. You can always just play the matchups too.
