It's worth discussing the role Patrick Turner will play for the Jets on Sunday. I see two possibilities as the reason for his promotion from practice squad.
Possibility #1: The Jets are going to limit Braylon Edwards' playing time as a punishment for his arrest this week and wanted Turner to add depth.
Possibility #2: The Jets are rewarding him for the insider information he provided and are activating him for that reason. He will be a captain for the game like Kevin O'Connell last year against the Patriots.
I'm thinking the second is probably more likely than the first. If the Jets wanted to punish Braylon, he wouldn't play at all. Limiting his time only hurts the team without sending any sort of message because of how subtle it would be. What do you think?
