Wrapping up our first round is GGN member FrankG929 picking for the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints.
With the thirty-second pick in the Gang Green Nation Community Mock Draft FrankG929 picks for the New Orleans Saints...
Almost obviously, Brian Price would have been the pick here, but since the Colts took him with the 31st pick, we have to go with our next best choice. The Sains biggest needs are D-line and LB, but the depth at LB seems sufficient to wait. While there are a couple defensive linemen rated higher by many pundits, Joseph may be able to step into a larger role faster because he's already 50 pounds heavier than those other choices (or more, when comparing him to Hughes). According to www.mockingthedraft.com'sscouting report, his strengths play into the Saints needs
This pick seems like a bit of a reach to me. He's going to be there when the Saints pick again in the second round and quite possibly beyond. I can't think of any mock I have seen with him going this early. Why not grab a linebacker or a defensive end like Everson Griffen who will not be there later and then pick Joseph? Beyond that, there are better options available at tackle.
What do you think GGN? Was Joseph the right pick for the Saints?
We'll recap round one soon, and we'll try to have a quick second round (details to follow).
