Cincinnati Bengals at New York Jets Simulation on What If Sports

I'm a huge fan of the website What If Sports. It takes the attributes of sports teams across history and allows you to simulate games of teams across eras. I'm going to try to use their site to simulate upcoming games. We'll start with Thursday's game against the Bengals.

True to form, the Jets let an inferior team hang around and come out with a miracle last second victory. Mark Sanchez hits Braylon Edwards on a 65 yard Hail Mary with 4 seconds left on the clock, and Nick Folk adds the extra point for a 24-23 win. That's not a joke. That's what the simulation came up with.

It caps an otherwise rough 9 for 20 day for Sanchez.

The Jets overcome what at one point was a 20-7 Bengals lead.

Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie shut down Chad Johnson and Terrell Owens. Johnson finishes the game with 3 catches for 41 yards. Owens is held to 4 catches for 40 yards. Jordan Shipley leads the Bengals with 56 receiving yards on 3 catches.

The Bengals bottle up LaDainian Tomlinson, who has only 29 yards on 11 carries, but Shonn Greene has a big game with 59 yards and 1 touchdown on 8 carries.
