Cotchery looking doubtful for Thursday

According to Rich Cimini of ESPN NY's Twitter:

No sign of WR Jerricho Cotchery (groin), who didn't play Sun. Gonna be hard to play Thurs with 2nd-degree tear. #Jets

It's looking doubtful that Jerricho Cotchery will be on the field in the Meadowlands against the lowly Bengals. Yesterday's game we saw an increased role at WR from Brad Smith as well as Patrick Turner, and both performed admirably. However, the way that Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards are playing right now, is Cotchery's absence even going to hurt us?

Personally, I feel like we should be able to get the win on turkey day with out Cotchery, so let him rest up and come back against the Patriots when we need him most.
