Rex Ryan told the media today that Mark Sanchez is likely a go against the Texans.
We’ll see how he is. I think he’s going to be ok. (Being) able to finish a game generally means that’s a good sign that you can play the next week.
If he can go at all, the Jets don't really have the luxury of sitting him. Mark Brunell and Kellen Clemens are not very attractive options.
Backup quarterback is one of the real weaknesses on the team. Brunell is a great mentor, but I'm not sure that anybody really wants to see him on the field at this point of his career. The first attribute when searching for a backup quarterback should be the ability to play well. It's not clear that's the way the Jets approached the past offseason.
