Morning Links-3/19

-Corey Ivy ended up in Cleveland. Rex Ryan lost the former Raven to Eric Mangini. Apparently the Browns are not only in the market for former Jets but also players in whom the Jets have shown interest. Ivy would have been nothing more than depth. He is the cornerback version of Abram Elam, very physical, but has too many lapses in coverage to be anything more than a situational player. This keeps Dwight Lowery as the nickel for now.

-Could Mangini help the Jets land Jay Cutler?

-Thomas Jones' situation could make the Jets think harder drafting a running back. Since Jones will be 31 years old when the season opens, it should have been a consideration anyway.

-Don Banks has Darrius Heyward-Bey going to the Jets in his latest mock.

-A look at some of the remaining holes on the roster. It is much shorter than it would have been a few weeks ago. Still, it is surprising to not see outside linebacker there. Right now Vernon Gholston and Bryan Thomas are set to battle for a starting spot. That is a weakness.

-A look at the top two rated quarterbacks in the Draft.

-Despite his demonstrated immaturity, I've always felt like Randy Moss is a good person at heart. Stories like this make it easier to believe.
