Morning Links-3/10

-The Browns are interested in Eric Barton. It adds up. Barton is a reliable tackler who has achieved moderate success in Eric Mangini's system and now has no starting spot on the Jets as a result of the Bart Scott signing.

-Laveranues Coles is better off financially in Cincinnati than he would have been with the Jets.

-Bart Scott will be a good influence for Vernon Gholston. Gholston will have plenty of support. In addition to Scott and the team's good coaching staff, Calvin Pace plays the same position and turned his career around after being labeled a bust early.

-Danny Woodhead, the all-time NCAA leading rusher,is looking forward to showing the Jets what he can do after an injury cost him his 2008 season.

-A look at more potential targets.

-Backup linebacker Cody Spencer signed with the Lions. Fellow backup Jason Trusnik probably made more plays in one quarter of the Week 17 game in Miami than Spencer did in three seasons with the Jets.

-The AFC East might be the most interesting division in football.

-Could the Pats soon need a new kicker? Does it really matter? They lost the greatest of all-time a few years back and developed a Pro Bowler to replace him.
