The NY Daily News reports this harrowing day will end with the Jets winning the bidding war for Bart Scott.
It's done. Again.
The deal is believed to be for $48 million over 6 years, but the last year is an option.
The Jets can stop sweating. The two sides agreed in principle late in the morning, but Scott's agent rekindled talks with the Ravens, fueling speculation that Scott was going to jilt the Jets.
Give that agent credit. Playing two regimes familiar with Scott who wanted him badly against each other was a stroke of genius. In the end, it looks like the Jets will get their man.
