Here is a interesting look at one aspect of the Kerry Rhodes saga that we have not focused on here at GGN, and it comes courtesy of Jets Twit, an excellent blog by Erik Manassy that is dedicated to the New York Jets and social media and how they interact and connect.
Some will know that Kerry Rhodes has been invisible from twitter since it was announced that he would be benched in favour of Eric Smith this weekend. Well he today broke that silence and Jets Twit takes a look at what was said and asks some great questions.
One being what do you read into Rhodes comment in reply to a tweet by Erik?
And
What do you make of the players who took some shots at Kerry under condition of anonymity?
One of the comments made by a Jets player to a member of the media said that he was surprised it took this long for the Jets to bench Rhodes.
Personally I consider these players absolutely cowards, if you are going to make a comment, be man enough to put your name to it. You can't say that doing so would create a locker room divide, because imagine what it is like now, Kerry knowing that some player(s) have taken some shots at him, but not knowing whose those players were.
It's cheap, it's very disrespectful, and it is the last thing you want when you are trying to build team unity.
