Both Jericho Cotchery and Braylon Edwards were confident about the teams play-off prospects after taking part in their first practise after the mid-season breather
"If we capitalize on the positive things we did in the first eight games and build on those, there's no reason why we can't run these tables, no reason why we can't win enough games to get into the playoffs," wide receiver Braylon Edwards said Monday."Sitting at home and watching everyone play (Sunday), you realize you have a lot of season left," wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery said. "You realize that, with the kind of team we have, we can play with anybody in this league."
Taking a look at how the Jets have faired against the Jaguars since they came into the league in 1995, it's not necessarily comfortable reading.
The Jets and the Jaguars have matched up 6 times, and the record is in favour of the Jaguars by 4-2. The last Jets win came in 2003, where as the most recent performance was one to forget as we were completely dominated during a 41-0 drubbing in 2006.
We have been outscored 131-69 over the six contests, and three times we have been held to 10 points or less, but don't let that get you down. A new year, a new team, a new coach, and the players seem to believe they are the best around. ;-)
