Braylon Edwards Charged With Assault

Braylon Edwards has been charged with misdemeanor assault due to an altercation with a friend of LeBron James that led to his ouster in Cleveland.

It carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. An arraignment was scheduled for Nov. 17 in Cleveland Municipal Court.

Patrick D'Angelo, an attorney for Edwards, said his client will plead not guilty.

The Jets did indeed know of this possibility before the trade. The potential for this was part of the reason Edwards came so cheaply. Keep an eye on this because the league may sit Braylon if this doesn't turn out well.

Are you concerned the Jets will lose Edwards for any period of time?
