Random Stat Of The Day
I was going to mention this yesterday but for three years in a row the Jets have lost to both teams that played in the Super Bowl.
So Tom Brady is now 0-2 in Super Bowls since the emergence of SpyGate allegations.

can someone explain draft value to me?
this will be my first year closely following the draft, and i'm not familiar with what what draft value is. thanks!
Jets fans in London, where are you guys watching the Superbowl?
Typically I go for the Imperial College Union, but it's overflowing with Pats fans every year anyway, this year is not going to be great.
Bruce Arians new OC of INDY
It's being reported he is on his way to sign a contract. Not sure but Arians is a run first guy, think this spells the end for Manning in a Colts uni??
We need to be cautious as a fan base
We all miss B. Edwards..Hell I wish he never left. I was one of those that said keep Edwards before Holmes around this time last year. I also think that if he actually never did leave he would not have been injured (pure speculation on my part) But we must remember this is a business, so the real question is....HOW HEALTHY IS HE? Injured, back to form, who out there knows?? Physical run blocker, or timid play after the snap?, fast as ever or lost a step in his speed? We already have a big tall WR that has great hands, but it takes him 2 weeks per play to get open (Plaxico) I don’t know the extent of Edwards injury, but we need to find out. Not sure what the injury was, but we have to ask the question, is he healed enough to be the Edwards that we remember or is he damaged goods... Disregard emotional attachment and be medically honest here. (I know it's hard because he did some great things for this team on the field) I don't even know the exact nature of his injury (knee I think) and it is possible it's no big deal at all; but I do know that before we as a fan base get to excited about his possible return we need an honest assessment. I say this because if he is damaged goods we may as well go for Nick Toon in round 3...but if healthy I will be the first one cheering his return.

Rex on Francesa 1/20/2012
Don't know if anyone else was aware but Rex Ryan will be on Mike Francesa's radio program "Mike's On" on 1/20/2012 at 1:30 PM. It will be an interesting listen and see if Rex goes on the offensive towards Mike,a la Darelle Revis.
Quick Question: How good is Upshaw?
Ok Quick Question: I dont watch or follow college football. The general thinking around here is the Jets need C. Upshaw at OLB...but we pick at #16. Problem is this: some mock drafts have upshaw going a #10 (and some at 16)...so the question is this: Is Upshaw good enough to try and trade up, or do we hope at 16 that he is still there and then take him, or do we take someone else at #16?? Your thoughts - Me personally I think our biggest concern is SAFETY not OLB and we need an experienced one so I would trade a #1 for a proven elite...but that is besides the point.... What about Upshaw?????
The 49er's got a bad call to beat the Saints.
The relevant portion of the rule is: "It is a foul if a player initiates unnecessary contact against a player who is in a defenseless posture.(a) Players in a defenseless posture are: [. . .] (2) A receiver attempting to catch a pass; or who has completed a catch and has not had time to protect himself or has not clearly become a runner. If the receiver/runner is capable of avoiding or warding off the impending contact of an opponent, he is no longer a defenseless player; [. . .] (b) Prohibited contact against a player who is in a defenseless posture is: (1) Forcibly hitting the defenseless player’s head or neck area with the helmet, facemask, forearm, or shoulder, regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the defenseless player by encircling or grasping him; and (2) Lowering the head and making forcible contact with the top/crown or forehead/"hairline" parts of the helmet against any part of the defenseless player’s body." Pierre Thomas caught the ball, to get down to protect himself, but was drilled in the side of the head on a helmet to helmet hit. I don't really care about the Saints or the 49ers, but it seems like that was a no call that cost the Saints the game. Not only was it a no call, it was a ruled a fumble (which it was), that resulted in a 7-0 swing for the 49er's. That 7 points on that no call was the difference in the game. I guess that's the real home field advantage.
