Hope? Does this draft do it for you?

Might as well try my hand at a mock draft not involving the simulation tools.

Trades- I'm keeping these relatively simple and using the trade value.

Jets receive: 12th, 52nd, 108th, 145th, and 181st.

Cleveland receives: 6th, 107th, and Bryce Petty

*Jets receive: 77th and 119th

*Arizona receives: Sheldon Richardson, 108th, 145th, 191st, and 224th

This trade is probably NOT going to happen. I don't think it is near enough value for the 77th pick.

**Jets receive: 247th

**Green Bay receives: Daryl Roberts

Why?: Arizona could use some line help and would put Richardson towards the inside of the line to help the run stop. The picks are to make up trade value.

Why?: The Browns draft Myles Garret 1st overall and take care of their past rush need. They watch OJ Howard get picked by the Jaguars with a need pick. The Bears bolster their defense with a great safety, Jamal Adams. San Fran went with Johnathon Allen in a BPA/need move. Titans are thinking of getting an improvement for Mariota this season and grab Mike Williams with a reach pick. The next few picks have 3 teams that could use a QB to take over in a few seasons. So the Browns pick Mitch Trubisky with the 6th overall pick upon hearing murmurs of these teams MAYBE selecting him with their pick. Bryce Petty is a throw in to "sweeten" this deal and gives the Browns some QB depth to choose from.

Why?: Green Bay need some depth for their cornerbacks and we offer up one of our depth pieces for a 7th, sounds good enough to me.

7th overall to the Chargers: Soloman Thomas

8th overall to the Panthers: Ryan Ramczyk (reach peak for need)

9th overall to the Bengals: Reuben Foster

10th overall to the Bills: Marshon Lattimore

11th overall to the Saints: Malik Hooker

JETS 1ST ROUND SELECTION 12TH OVERALL

Marlon Humphrey: Could be a #1 CB on the team and once his game catches up to his physicality it will not only be evident but still. He would easily be the best CB on the team the second his name is called. Probably could have dropped to us in round 2. But with so many teams still needing corners and safeties below this SELECTION I decided to just take him now.

I don't care about the rest of the 1st. I wanted to show you guys how I have come to the conclusion.

39th overall: Budda Baker, this selection automatically completes the restructuring of the secondary. It is a BPA here and isn't a bad one at that.

52nd overall: Alvin Kamara, probably at this selection a close BPA. A lot of the players ahead of Kamara on the big board I'm using I don't see dropping far. Needs to be a better blocker but is at least a 2 down back.

70th overall: Pat Elflein, Plays center or guard. Could use support at both either as depth or as a starter. His versatility is a great feature and his skill is even greater.

77th overall: Jake Butt, What is there to say? He is a great option at TE as he is a balanced one with blocking and receiving.

119th overall: Daeshon Hall, He has consistency issues. This may be a work ethic issue or a not as skilled as his opponent. If nothing else he is a decent edge rusher but won't light up the NFL.

150th overall: Julie'n Davenport, An interesting case for a tackle. He can easily be a great LT if he works on his technique a little bit BUT he isn't bad at being one right now.

181st overall: Jeremy Cutrer, Another interesting player. He can create depth easily for this team and since Roberts is traded we could use another player for depth.

247th overall: Chad Kelly, We "lost" Petty so we need to bring in a QB for some depth. Save him from obscurity and he has a decent skill set.:
