Buffalo over Kansas City: This is a slight preference. These teams are both tied with the Jets for the final Wild Card spot in the AFC. Why root for the Bills then? The Jets still have a game against them. New York can handle Buffalo on its own. Gang Green needs help to get past Kansas City. It also would not hurt to cool down a Chiefs team playing really well with a fairly easy schedule the rest of the way.
Tampa Bay over Indianapolis: The Colts are tied with the Texans for the AFC South lead and have the same record with the Jets. They could easily be a Wild Card competitor when all is said and done. The best case scenario might be for one of those two teams to collapse and hand the division to the other.
New Orleans over Houston: The Jets will need some help somewhere to pass the Texans. An NFC team winning does Gang Green no harm so this is as good of a week as any.
San Diego over Jacksonville: Don't look now, but the Jaguars have actually clawed themselves to the outer edges of the AFC Playoff chase. They are now 4-5, just one game out of both the six seed and the lead in their division. The Jets do have a head to head win in their pocket, but it would be nice to see Jacksonville knocked back.
Tennessee over Oakland: The Raiders cannot buy a win since they creamed the Jets a few weeks back. Since the Jets are one game ahead with a head to head loss, that trend continuing would help.
Seattle over Pittsburgh: Even with how poorly the Jets have played over the past month plus, they only sit one game behind the Steelers for the five seed in the AFC. This is a bad conference with a lot of mediocre teams.
