Okay so let's go move by move.
Trade down from 4 to 9: They get a 2015 1st and 2015 4th. Great move. Especially since the 1st will likely be top 15 next year.
Trade up from 9 to 8: giving up this years 4th. Hmmmm. I guess the Vikings were gonna take Gilbert? You would have to be insanely high on Gilbert vs the next BPA to HAVE to move up one spot. Not a huge price tag but I don't like it.
Trade up from 26 to 22: Giving up this years 3rd. The teams in between these picks are the cardinals, chargers, chiefs. Not exactly QB drafting teams. At all. So why make the jump? If your guy is Manziel, he should be there. My thought is that the Vikings called to trade up to 22. Then the Eagles played them both for a who wants Manziel sweepstakes. Something forced Cleveland's hand here. I think this was the bad move of their draft. They have a pick where Bridgewater or Manziel or both are going to be there. Follow that up with the 3rd pick in round 2. Where they can still get Carr or Bridgewater. I think they overpaid for Manziel here. Especially since they could have gotten QBs by staying put.
I did not like the Jets going to 15 seconds before getting their ticket in. My heart was racing. Trying to finalize a deal is my assumption. Didn't quite work. Love taking Safety in the first here.
