Mock Draft w/ Suprise Trade

RD1 Pick #18 Darqueze Dennard CB, Michigan State- Jets once again go defense in the first round a Dennard-Milliner Tandem would be dangerous and our secondary would once again be good along with our defensive front.

TRADE: Jets trade David Harris ILB and Kenrick Ellis and 4th RD #115 to Cleveland Browns for 1st RD #26 Pick- I think the Browns make this trade because they already have a top 5 pick in this years draft the Jets are giving them a starting Inside Linebacker and a rotational player that can play anywhere on the DL which would be helpful with their 3-4 defense and also not to mention Browns new Head Coach Ex Jets DC Mike Pettine has coached both of these players it would be nice to have some of his old guys back on the team, David doesn't really have a future with us and its better for Kenrick to start new somewhere else to get playing time, setting up a package with these two and a mid round pick I think would net us a first round pick.

RD1 Pick #26 Brandin Cooks WR, Oregon State- Brandin is blazing fast something the Jets need and that's speed, MM would love to have this kid who can make plays at any moment in a game he doesn't have the size but his speed certainly makes up for it.

RD2 Pick #49 Kyle Van Noy OLB, Brigham Young- Kyle is very good player has nice size and skill at OLB something were gonna need because Calvin Pace is getting old and he will without a doubt decline in production after his good year last year.

RD3 Pick #80 Troy Niklas TE, Notre Dame- Troy would be a very nice addition with a passing offense ranked among the worst in the league he will be able to show his talents as a pass catching tight end and could be a steal in the 3rd round.

RD4 Pick #104 Shayne Skov ILB, Stanford- After the David Harris trade the Jets will be looking for young talent to take over and start along side Demario Davis this season, Shayne Skov is more then capable of doing so and you cant find a better defensive talent in the 4th round the Shayne in my opinion.

RD4 Pick #137 Brandon Coleman WR, Rutgers- At 6'6 Brandon has tremendous height which will be good for a young QB like Geno Smith or Michael Vick so they cant throw it up and know their guy will have a good chance to come down with it, he also has pretty good speed for a guy with his size with development he can become a nice NO.1 or 2 wide receiver for us.

RD5 Pick #154 Craig Loston SS, LSU- He is a guy who not afraid of laying the hit he is very aggressive maybe sometime to aggressive to a point where he can get himself hurt having a guy like Craig provides leadership on the field and a guy who can cause a turnover, letting him develop would be good and hopefully when Landry departs next offseason him and Antonio Allen can be a good safety tandem.

RD6 Pick #195 Zach Fulton OG, Tennessee- This would be a very smart depth move for us we don't have a lot of depth at Oline and Brian Winters has struggled last year

RD6 Pick #209 Matt Patchan OT, Boston College- Also another depth move at OLine for us since we are thin.

RD6 Pick #210 Louchiez Purifoy CB, Florida- Louchiez is an underclassmen and I believe if he would stay in college for another year he would get so much better and possibly be a higher round pick, with that being said Im sure we will find somehow to develop him and get him on the field.

RD6 Pick #213 Trey Millard FB, Oklahoma- Trey is a very good pass catching fullback and also can block very good he doesn't have great speed but I think we should bring him in for some competition with Tommy Bohanon.

RD7 Pick #233 Colt Lyerla TE, Oregon- Couldn't hurt to draft a player like Colt he does have off the field issues but drafting him the 7th Round makes sense he has the talent and with some discipline he could turn things around him, Niklas, and Cumberland could create a very good tight end corp.
