I am very pleased with the way the first 3 round have shaken out. Calvin Pryor fills a void this team has had for quite some time. The dude will make opposing wide receivers fear going across the middle (similar to Landry, Sanders, Gholston). Jace Amaro acts as a receiver to take pressure off Decker and therefore Geno. While I haven't heard much about McDougle, I trust Rex it terms of finding defensive talent, and he's a defensive guru. People booed the Richardson pick (including myself), and he's the reigning DROTY. Rex found Mo Wilkerson late in the 11 draft, and now he's a top 2/3 player at his respective position.
I can't imagine him starting over Patterson week 1, corners are said to have some of the toughs times adjusting to NFL play, but he could come in for sub packages and I trust Rex thinks he'll turn into a starter.
As for the remainder of the draft, the Jets are still lacking a WR, OG, OLB, and more depth at OT and CB, and potential the QB as well. The Jets have 3 fourth round picks (1 comp), 1 fifth, 4 sixths (3 comps) and a 1 seventh. Hopefully they'll double dip at the CB and WR position somewhat early in the draft, along with an OG to provide insurance for Colon.
Any thoughts on the Jets picks so far and who they should target in the remainder of the draft?
