NFL Ten Year Study On Draft Success By Position, Rounds 1-4

NFl had 4/12 article by Barnwell that studied how productive players drafted in Rounds 1-4 turned out over the 1996-2007 period. Productive simply being how much you got out of them starting right away, not necessarily going to the Pro Bowl. Significant results for Jets current situation: WR-84% chance of production DB-80% chance of production OL-77% chance of production TE-72% chance of production After this, by Rounds(5 and below), the productivity of all personnel dropped significantly 48%. QB was the worst, with a range of 28 to 48% possible productivity. So all things being equal, the Jets are probably catching a winner but made me rethink all my earlier posts lol.
