Back in January, Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor asked to be traded. Unfortunately for them, nobody has been interested in giving up a pick for him. With OTA's around the corner, the Raiders will likely release Pryor on Monday.
My questions to you then are: Do you believe that the Jets should pick up Pryor? If so, do you think we should have him as the 3rd QB, or possibly keep him in a Brad Smith kind of role, or just completely convert him to a RB or TE? Pryor is fast and large (6 ft 4 in, 4.38 40 time) so I believe he could excel as a runner. He doesn't excite me as much as a passer, but he could certainly compete with Smith and an aging Vick.
Admittedly, I don't know much about him beyond his stats and highlight reel, but I see a lot of potential in this guy and not much competition to grab him. He's got the physical ability, no doubt, and he's had some successful starting experience considering the talent level of the Raiders last year. I would've been willing to throw a 7th at him, but if we can pick him up in the open market that'd be even better.
So, I would like your opinion on Terrelle Pryor, would you like to bring him on to the team, and if so, what role?
