I honestly think that this guy has a ton of arm talent. His accuracy and power are 1st/2nd round talent. Unfortunately, he is an Ivy league QB. As a current student at Cornell, I can attest to how terrible our football team is. The above video even mentions how his complete percentage of 70% between 0-10 yards is entirely attributed to drops and throw aways. However, I think this has the potential to help Jeff Matthews rather than hurt him. Having worked with the football team here (I shoot some of the video for the team, Holla to my work being in a youtube video!), I can tell you that Jeff Matthews is a leader and a hell of an athlete. I've had a few conversations with him in passing at workouts and sometimes I see him on campus (he's a good guy and actually recognizes me).
I'm not saying he would be the right fit for the Jets, but he is the kind of guy that would benefit from being on the sidelines for 2-3 years before making his NFL start.
I guess what I'm saying is, watch out for this guy. I HATE to use this phrase but I only will because it's all I hear on campus, "this guy has the potential to be the next 6th round Tom Brady."
