The wait is killing me. Sometimes we like the off season just as much as the regular season, the problem is this time of year the off season just moves sooooooo slow. Just to kill some time let's do an exercise.
I know we are all JETS fans here, we bleed green and white, but that does not mean that we don't have players that we like on other teams. Some of those players I am sure you would like to see on the JETS, even if it will never happen.
Before we get started I just want to say the following is just for fun and in no way should be based in reality.
Who would you trade the JETS 2014 number one pick for? Now wait before you answer remember this is just for fun so don't worry if its not based in reality. For example say you like the QB Andrew Luck from Indy. Of course Indy is not going to let him go for the #18 pick, but think of it from the perspective of who you want not what it would take to get him. After you pick a player give us a brief description of why you want them for the JETS and then in reality what you think it would take to get YOUR player. Don't let the reality stop you from picking your player even if you think the price will be to high, but give an honest bid for what you think it would realistically cost.
For me it would look like this:
I would trade the JETS #1 pick for Earl Thomas, the safety from Seattle.
Not only has Safety been an ignored position ever since Rhodes was sent to AZ, Great safety play can elevate average corner play, and until we see if Cro's decline was because of a hip injury or just getting older, that is exactly what we have. Free agency aside if the corner situation is what it is, I want a ball hawk safety.
What will it take? I think our 2014 1st round / 3rd round... our 2015 3nd round with a contingency to go to the 2nd based on performance and then probably player like Harris or Elis.
OK that is mine what is yours?
