There are currently 11 more players on the Jets roster, carried over from that original $22.3 million cap space, that were not included on the above 53 man roster. These are camp bodies that cost the vet minimum each of $420,000 a year. Once they are cut before the start of the season, an additional $4.6 million is saved. Thus:
Final Cap Space:
$9.2 million
As you can see, I tried to get us some quality talent, for cheap, while being realistic. We still don't have that big WR threat, or a complementary TE, but I think every other position where we needed to improve, we definitely improved. And more importantly, we have some real solid, solid depth. In all, I count 9 new starters, all upgrades in my eyes, and still 9 million and change to spare. Took me way longer than I expected. Let me know what you think!
