Idzik has refused to bring in players at needed positions for contracts that other organizations consider reasonable. He is the king of the garbage heap. He is abusing dogs by refusing them the leftovers. He expects us Jet fans to eat the crap left on the plate instead. Latest news is that Idzik doesn't want to obtain DJax at his current salary. Who didn't see that coming? We would not have had to even consider this trade if Idzik had been willing to sign one of the available cornerbacks this year. We could have drafted a wide receiver in the first round instead. Now we will have to choose between an inferior passing offense or an inferior passing defense. This is our message to the garbage king:
Mr. Idzik unless something unexpected is done, "in a well thought-out and judicious way" a few friends and I have decided not to attend any Jet games this year. We will be a Jet fans long after you are gone. We will wear our colors at Gillette and Ralph Wilson stadiums this year (possibly Sun Life as part of a golf vacation as well). I hope more fans decide not to go to games this year if you have put together a team for this season which is less than what we deserve.
"It is nice to have flexibility, maneuverability as you" decide whether to stay at home and watch the game or go to the stadium. I have given my heart to this team for 45 years but I will not financially support a team that will not financially support a fan base.
Speaking for a few of my friends who are with me on this, "we're not gonna put a finger in the" arse while sitting in your seats watching an undermanned team try to compete with fully loaded rosters. Rex and the players will coach and play their hearts out. If they are successful it will be in spite of your efforts and not because of them.
We will be back when you have put your "sustainable" team together or when you are gone.
