Most of the commentary since Sanchez has been released has been a postmortem perspective on the highest draft-pick under the Rex Ryan era, but I haven't heard much speculation about where Sanchez may end up. Here is a knee-jerk list of possible locations, which in realty is merely an opportunity to create a shiny new poll. Here are some options and a summary of the current quarterback situation of the respective team:
Houston - Expected to address the QB position in the draft, but maybe not with the first pick. They also signed Ryan Fitzpatrick to a 2 year 7.5 million with 4 guaranteed.
Jacksonville - Also expected to address the position in the draft. They have signed Chad Henne to a 2 year 4.5 million dollar deal and have traded Blane Gabbert to the San Fransisco.
Buffalo - E.J. Manuel's playing style has thus far been conducive to injuries, might they be interested in an experienced backup familiar with the division rivals' defenses?
Chicago - After losing Josh McCown in free agency they will be looking for a backup.
Philadelphia - After losing Micheal Vick in free agency they will be looking for a backup. (Trust me this is only the second most ironic choice)
St. Louis - Could Sanchez reunite with the offensive coordinator who lead him and the Jets to the promised land? Ironically Sanchez would be replacing Kellen Clemens, the very man that he beat out in an unbiased competition for the starting job during his rookie year. (This is the most ironic choice)
Arizona - Another team looking for a backup to aging veteran Carson Palmer.
Cleveland - Expected to draft a quarterback and still have Hoyer under contract, who had success last season, but unfortunately his season was cut short due to a knee injury.
My expectation is that Sanchez will be signed after the draft by a team that anticipated getting a quarterback in the draft and didn't end up with the player they wanted. I am interested what you think? Vote below:
