Fantasy Draft Team

This is something i always used to have fun doing in madden as a kid and since I'm awake at 7:30 on a Sunday I figured I would share it with everyone here, and see if anyone likes the idea.

So what I would do as the name suggests is get control of the first 50 picks in the draft in franchise mode and build a team purely out of that draft class.

I will try not to simply pick the top players at a given position, but there may be some points (o-line probably) where that is going to be inevitable

(Initial warning I will do my best with the players name spelling and I apologize in advance if i mess something up)

So with that in mind here is what i would do with some explanation as to why i am building my positions as such.

QB: Teddy Bridgewater, Blake Bortles, and Zach Mettenberger

Explanation: Everything I have been reading has Teddy as the most NFL ready QB in this draft, which leaves me two spots left to work with I went with Bortles to compete in camp for the starters spot but didn't want a 3 man competition so early so I went with Mettenberger coming off the injury possibly building value in the next couple years to be traded.

RB: Ka'Deem Carey, Carlos Hyde, and Lache Seastrunk

Explanation: I think these 3 compliment each other very well with a nice combination of size power and speed between the 3 that you would be able to wear down your opponents and win the game on the ground if need be.

WR: Sammy Watkins, Marquise Lee, Odell Beckham Jr., Jordan Mathews, Kelvin Benjamin, Donte Moncrief

Explanation: I think this was the most fun position to makes picks on in the whole draft there is alot of personal preference in this one namely leaving out Mike Evans, but i think these 6 give you a good balance of size speed route running and catching ability where you can mix and match them and keep everyone fresh and healthy, also with Beckham Jr. I have my return man.

TE: Eric Ebron, Jace Amaro, Austin Sefarian-Jenkins

Explanation: No real point messing around here these are the 3 best TE's in the draft first two are great in the passing game but could use some work blocking Jenkins is the opposite a better blocker not as polished/talented running routes. Nice and Easy

O-Line: Jake Mathews, Greg Robinson, Taylor Lewan, David Yankely, Cyril Richardson, Gabe Jackson, Travis Swanson, Bryan Stork

Explanation: I don't really have a good one here this is a position I don't know enough about, although i do know Mathews, and Robinson are in play for #2 overall so they must be good right?

DE: Jadaveon Clowney, Kony Ealy Scott Chrichton

Explanation: I want my team to run a 3-4 and honestly there aren't really any guys big enough to throw in right away Clowney and Ealy are on the low-middle end of what you would want size wise but i am going to stick with it anyways.

DT: Loise Nix, Rashede Hagerman, Will Sutton

Explanation: Now this is what I'm talking about here are the big boys to anchor the middle of my defense i think to keep guys fresh this will be a full 6 man rotation possibly running 2 of these 3 out on running downs, and 2 of the DE's on passing downs Etc.

OLB: Khalil Mack, Anthony Barr Kyle Van-Noy, Jeremiah Attaochu

Explanation: I don't there needs to be much of one on the top 2, i picked Van-Noy, and Attaochu because of their athleticism, and Van-Noy's ability to play in space and cover people.

ILB: C.J. Mosley, Yawin Smallwood, Shayne Skov,

Explantion: Mosley and Smallwood will simply love playing behind those monster DT's and having the freedom to eat RB's, and i picked Skov because he is a good open field tackler and is a fiery player who wants to be out there on every down.

CB: Darqueze Dennard, Justin Gilbert, Lamarcus Joyner, Kyle Fuller, Jason Verrett

Explanation: Dennard and Gilbert are by far the best two prospects in the class with either being at least a moderate surprise if they made it to the Jets at 18 even. Joyner has experience playing both SS and in the Slot and would be a nice versatile addition to the Secondary, with Fuller being labeled as a strong tackler who always wraps up, and Verrett being a ball hawk its a nice mix of skills from this group.

Safety: Ha-Ha Clinton Dix, Ed Reynolds, Deone Bucannon, Ahmad Dixon

Explantion: Again taking the best Safety on the board with Clinton Dix, and then a mix of skills with the other 3 between coverage, and being big hitters.

I think that's pretty much it I'm not going to pick out a random Kicker/Punter/Fullback and insult anyone's intelligence that i know what I am talking about for those. Tell me what you think, tell me who you would take out and who you would replace them with?
