Isaiah Crowell (RB) Alabama State vs Jackson State 2013 (via phillyjimmyphilms)

5-11, 215

2013: 170 for 1121 and 15 TDs

The former 5 star recruit transferred out of Georgia after rushing for 815 yards and 5 TDs as a freshman. He was dismissed from the team due to felony gun charges (pulled over with gun under seat with altered serial numbers), which were dismissed, and then transferred to Alabama State. However, while at GA dude showed what a stud he was on the field. He's a very well-balanced back that can run inside and outside, as well as catch it out of the backfield.

His violent running style and dreads immediately reminded me of Chris Ivory (he also has similar knocks for missing games due to minor leg injuries). He runs with a lot of aggressiveness and authority. Like Ivory, he will not just go down because you got a solid hit on him. He will try to keep pushing through contact and/or bounce off and run away. He's got a nice frame to play the physical game (not unlike Marshawn Lynch), but the skills to make guys miss in space and to contribute to the passing game.

His knuckleheadedness as a teenager is likely to cause him to drop out of the first 2 rounds. But I think he has as much talent as most any back coming out this year. I think he put on some man-weight after he left GA, which has slowed him down a tad. I'd love it if he dropped down from 215 to around 210 if he came here, so that he could regain a little more of that burst that he once had.
