Finally, I see a defensive line that I had hope for the past few years. The one the brings pressure even without having to blitz all the time and we are young D line. The D line is making every position look better. The players old and young we were worried about now seem to have found it again, especially at the LB position. EJ who had been sacked just once in 2 games was sacked 8 times and had another 8 hits. Was pressured too when not being hit.
The defense was so impressive that it overcame its stupid penalties and mental mistakes. Richardson blew a play and admitted it. When Pace had Jackson behind the line, Richardson celebrated before the runner actually went down, if he reacted to make sure the runner went down, it would have been fourth down. It was not Pace's fault it was Richardson, he'll never make that mistake again.
On offense is looking better and better, was not a fan of Geno except that we need a QB so I cheer for him and he is starting to look better. Still has the dumb rookie mistakes that I hope he'll learn from but he made some good passes against the and Tone made some good catches, Hill did also but Tone was the man yesterday. The running game also came alive and was good to see, that also help the passing game. Geno hopefully will improve with even game and realizes that he needs to show what he's got with his game. After the Bucs games and we got a gift, Geno did his superman imitation on the sidelines and I told myself, I hope I doesn't come around to bite his ass and sure enough in the Pats game it did and he looked like crap. I hope he got humbled by it and still kept his thinking he is superman as we need that too but in a more humble way.
The O line has held its own and my main concern Vlad has done well, even though he has some mistakes he has held his own and hopefully getting better, I read that a coach said this year the light finally went on in Vald's brain. lol
So overall there is good expectations so far in the first 3 games and if we improve as the season goes on, it could be a rewarding season in a rebuilding year. I know we had a miracle against the Bucs but we also could have easily beat the Pats and should have. Every year we have hopes for the playoffs even with all the doubts and so far the good times are here and lets ride that wave. GO JETS!
