Ok, now I have been a Rex supporter since he got hired as our Coach, I was really excited about the fire and enthusiasm he brought to the club from his very bold predictions to flipping off some obnoxious Fins fans down in Miami, I ate it up and loved every minute of it and with 2 Back to Back AFC Championship appearances, i was a true believer in what Rex was selling...the past 2 seasons have dimmed the lights on those high aspirations I once had for this team and the success Rex would achieve as our Head Coach.
Rex has proven to be a very "loyal" guy, whether he admits it or not he DOES seem to favor the "old reliables' instead of knowing when to pull the plug on some of these guys ( Pace,Scott,Sanchez etc etc ), and that has got me to rethink my stance on him as a quality Leader of our team...he has piss-poor clock management skills, he knows nothing about the Offensive side of the ball and he doesnt seem like he wants or cares to learn about it...that will probably be his un-doing.
That leads me to the question of WHO will replace Rex? looking around at the possible candidates doesnt make me want to fire Rex just yet....the only 2 names that peek my interest are Jon Gruden and Bill Cowher but I highly doubt either of those guys would step away from thier cushy well paying jobs to take over the Jets...i would almost gaurentee that IF Rex was fired, the Jets in true Jets fashion would wait until all the "good' Head Coaches were already signed by other teams and Woody would be off on vacation somewhere and blow off an interview ( that has already happened once )...
Who do you think would make a good Head Coach for the Jets if available? at this moment in time its obviously Rex
