Media meltdowns, Geno Smith and the New York Jets in general

After reading and hearing all the nonsense about the Jets in general, and Geno Smith in particular, it seems to me that the writers covering the Jets specifically, and the general writers for various outlets are really reveling in putting the screws to anything related to the Jets. Whether it was Tebow, Rex, Sanchez, Santonio, Bart, Tannenbaum or Woody, they seemed to take an almost psychotic glee in tracking down every "anonymous" source or tip that was detrimental to the Jets, whether it was true or not. Even Sal Palantonio, when interviewing John Idzik about the Revis trade, was so rude in pressing his idiotic questions after being told flat out that the subject would not be discussed that I have lost all respect for him. To be fair, the Jets ineptitude on the field and in the front office gave plenty of grist to the mill, but what ensued was particularly venomous. If it was up to me, I would find a way to freeze out Mehta, Cole, Cimini, Palantonio and others who go beyond the bounds of good taste in journalism (There's a real good oxymoron for you). I wouldn't answer their questions, refuse their interview requests and make sure none of the front office, coaching and playing personnel speak to these prevaricators. It would bring a breath of fresh air to the general area. Please let me know what you think.
