I do not believe that Mark was put into a situation where he could maximize what abilities he does have. The line was not effective in the past two years to protect him, and his receivers were largely injured. The Jets arguably had one of the worst backfields in the past two years in terms of production on the ground and catching out of the backfield.
If Sanchez is going to do advance his Jet career, it starts with a good camp and strong pre-season. I would then argue it may be wise to only play him on the road. Many Jet fans would want him to fail, boo him, and chant Geno Smith's name - that is if he made the roster and made it to the field. So that leaves week 2 in NE, or waiting until weeks 4-5 to give him a chance at starting without an insane amount of pressure and scrutiny.
What are your thoughts on Sanchez, and does he deserve a chance in the west coast?
