New Sharrif in Town?

Stay connected for news and updates

Ok fellas, 1st day of Free Agency and the Jets dump starting DT Sione Pouha AND let the wily vet Mike Devito walk on into the Chiefs camp, what are WE thinking? we have NO respectable replacements for these guy, right?...

WRONG

lets insert 350lb BEHEMOTH Kenric Ellis, sure he wasnt very breathtaking in his "limited" action BUT I think thats exactly why he wasnt very spectacular, he didnt get enough quality playing time, sitting in a rotation behind Pouha and Devito..

at first glance, we looked a little weak on our front 3 or 4 ( whichever we decide to use )..BUT upon further review, I think i see where our front office is heading in regards to building a solid YOUNG line...

insert Sharrif Floyd ( 6'3 297lb ) DT from the Florida Gators..in 2012 he recorded 46 TKLS 13 for LOSS, 3 Sacks and a FF..this is all coming from a DT position in the SEC !!! he also ran a 4.8 at the Combine!!!

Now, just when I had lost all hope of our Defensive Front being relevant because of the recent cuts, i can see the Jets snatching up Floyd at # 9...He will INSTANTLY give our "grunt" lineman the speed and firepower it needs to be DOMINANT!!!

Who ya Gonna DOUBLE? we got Coples coming off the Edge like a madman, we got Mo Wilk on the other edge pushing the pocket back with INTENSITY and we got that big ol freak of nature Ellis pushing the pocket!!! can you imagine what would happen if we added a talent like Floyd to the mix?

I hate to steal a phrase from a few years back, BUT this Jets team with the new influx of youth at LB and our already great Secondary would truly be ORGANIZED CHAOS!!!!

Im all for selecting Sharrif Floyd at # 9 .. what say you?
