So literally two seconds ago the Lions released Titus Young. The kid's only 23 and was a 2nd round pick. The problems? This kids got an attitude problem and seemed to never listen to the coaches. He apparently tweeted once that
He doesn't see the point if playing if he doesn't get the ball. He was expected to have a decent season last year but got injured and just didnt live up to expectations.
I saw we try and get him. He's still got a lot of upside and talent despite his problems. I want to stay away from character issues because of the whole media circus around us, but hopefully we can try and turn this kid around. I'm really hoping that getting released makes him re evaluate some of his decisions. The jets have been good with off the field incidents, typically with DUIs and arrests but I don't think Young has those kinds of issues. I think it's worth pickin him up. I certainly think he's better than Mardy Gilyard or Clyde Gates.
