Wenning is my favourite QB in this year’s draft class. He was my starter on my College FF team and kept racking up the points for me all season. When watching him play, I noticed a lot of things this guys does really well.

Statistically, Wenning has improved every year at BSU. After this season, he’ll hold most, if not all, passing records at Ball State. He plays in a pro-style Offense that doesn’t call for the quarterback to run a lot, but you can tell he has the athleticism to run when he’s moving in the pocket and running out of the pocket to make a throw. He also has 12 career rushing TD’s.

His positives include: Great arm strength, Prototypical size, Pocket presence, Accuracy and the fact he is a 4 year starter in a pro-style Offense

His negatives: Sometimes forces throws and his level of competition.

Overall I think Wenning is a fantastic prospect in terms of his skill level and the fact that he is a 5th-7th round prospect represents great value. I think this guy could be the steal of the Draft. We could certainly do a lot worse with one of our late round picks than drafting Wenning.

Have a look at the footage below and tell me what you think.
