Blue print for a successful offseason

The Jets have a pretty stout defense besides there secondary, but its really their offense that holds them back and of course quarterback play. Here are some options that I feel as a fan that they could go.

FREE AGENCY:

  • (WR) Hakeem Nicks: The jets are in tremendous need of consistent play from there wideouts. This is a guy that is reliable, he is a play maker and he can be a focal point of any offense. He wont come cheap, but this is the year that the Jets actually have a smart gm and money to spend.
  • (SS) T.J Ward: The Jets made a mistake letting go LaRon Landry last offseason and the secondary is no longer the same. To me T.J Ward is a better version of LaRon . He is not a liability in coverage like LaRon and man this guy can hit.
  • (CB) Sam Shields: This guy is an underrated ball hawk. He plays with a chip on his shoulder after not getting drafted in 2010. And he is what the Jets need TAKEAWAYS.
  • (WR) Golden Tate: A good quality receiver that the jets can add to there terrible receiving core.
RESIGNINGS:
  • Austin Howard: A very solid right tackle.
  • Willie Colon: A very tough solid guard that the Jets need to keep.
  • Jeff Cumberland: Good speed and pretty reliable
  • David Nelson: Quality WR who earned another year for the Green and White.
MOCK DRAFT TRADES:
  • Trade a the additional 3rd and a 5th for a 2nd round pick
Mock DRAFT:
  • ROUND 1: Johnny Manziel: For you guys that like to judge him for his "off the field antics" Look at his tape, he will be a absolute future star and there is no way you can deny it. He has rare quickness, and he can make people miss and is a very exciting player. his arm strength is improving along with his accuracy.
  • ROUND 2: Best Tightend available Eric Ebron or Austin Seferian-Jenkins.
  • ROUND 2: David Yankey: he is a upgrade of both of our left guards.
  • ROUND 3: deshazor everett: Possesses good coverage skills which is what the Jets lacked.
  • ROUND 4: De'Anthony Thomas: Very explosive player who can add some much needed speed to the back field and or wide receiving core.
  • ROUND 5: Davante Adams: Can add depth to the WR core.
  • ROUND 6: DT
  • ROUND 7: P
