It is rumored that the Redskins will be interested in trading QB Kirk Cousins for a draft pick. I would be willing to give a 2nd round pick for the former 4th rounder, and here is my reasoning:
I have personally talked to a former assistant coach of his at Michigan St, and he continually stands behind his statement that Cousins will be the best QB out of that loaded 2012 class (perhaps a bit biased but worth noting) because of the elite leadership qualities that he displayed.
We've seen him come in and light it up for the redskins when RG3 goes down, and I don't believe that is a fluke. He seems to have a knack for winning and performing well under pressure.
I think Cousins has a good chance to give the Jets the competent QB play that they've been lacking for the past 5 years. A great defense is being wasted because of the terrible excuse for an offense they have been fielding. I believe that a 2nd round pick is a small price to pay to potentially improve the most important position in all of sports.
I would like to hear what other Jets fans would be willing to give up for Cousins, if anything.
