Jets 7 Round Mock Draft

The Jets have many needs and are (most likely) not one year away from playoff contention. They have holes on offense and defense.

DRAFT NEEDS:

OFFENSE:

QB, RB, WR, TE, FB, OG, OT

DEFENSE:

OLB, FS, SS, DT,MLB

1st Round- Jarvis Jones OLB Georgia

The Jets need a pass rusher and Jarvis Jones is their guy. Jones is going to be a top tier pass rusher in the NFL and that is exactly what the Jets need. Even though QB is the teams top need, they don't reach here. Jones, a 6'3, 241-pound junior, had 85 tackles, 24.5 TFL and 14.5 Sacks PRO COMPARISON- VON MILLER (DEN)

option 2: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU

option 3: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas

2nd Round- Zac Dysert QB Miami (OH)

The Jets need a QB and Dysert could be the answer. Dysert, at 6-4 241 pound, has good pocket awareness and can make all the throws. With a WR core worse than the Jets' this year he was able to fit throws into small windows to WRs who got no seperation. Dysert has the potential to be the best QB from this weak class. PRO COMPARISON- BEN ROETHLISBERGER (PIT)

option 2: Giovoni Bernard RB UNC

option 3: DeAndre Hopkins WR Clemso

3rd Round- Eddie Lacy RB Alabama

With the probable departure of Shonn Greene the jets are going to need an RB and Lacy can be that guy. Pro Comparision- KENDALL HUNTER (SF)

option 2:Jordan Reed TE Florida

option 3: Alvin Bailey OG Arkansas

4th Round- T.J McDonald FS USC

The jets will need saftey help with the probable departure of LaRon Landry. McDonald likes to creep up in the box and make a tackle or two in the run game. He has been compared to former Trojan Taylor Mays for his similar hard hits in the run game. PRO COMPARISION- TAYLOR MAYS (CIN)

option 2: Kenny Stills WR Oklahoma

option 3: Hugh Thorton OG Illinois

5th Round- Marcus Davis WR Virgina Tech

WIth a need a WR the Jets take the athletic and speedy 6-3 Hookie. He has the potential to a steal in this draft. PRO COMPARISON-Stephen Hill (NYJ)

option 2:Rick Wagner OT Wisconson

option 3:Marcus Lattimore RB South Carolina (If he's there in 5th round Id take him)

6th Round- John Sullen OG Auburn

The jets need help up front and will take a waiver on a lineman late- whether it be sullen or someone else.

option 2:Jordan Rodgers QB Vaderbilt

option 3: Earl Wolff SS NC State

7th Round-Damion Stafford FS Nebraska

Big need at saftey position-Stafford could help fill.

option 2: Mark Harrison WR Rutgers

option 3:Etienne Sabino OLB Ohio State
