New GM and OC, Now What Do We Need.

Ok now we are set with our new GM and OC and I am pleased that the search is over and with the GM and OC we have. Now I want people's opinions on what we really need and I will give my input.

First of all I think we are stuck with Sanchez but also he will have competition for the job, I don't think Mac is the answer and Tebow will be gone. The OC is supposed to be a good QB guru so that is a plus, but he has a tough road ahead developing a shell shocked Sanchez. Time for Sanchez to man up and get some cajones. I don't want us to waste a 1st or 2nd round pick on a QB.

I would like us to get a good Oline man in the draft or two and start developing them now, if you don't control the trenches it doesn't matter who you have as play makers. Next we need some LB's as ours have been getting old and slower than before which is pretty bad. Then we have to address the safety and would like to see some young guns there too.

On the issue of a new QB, or WR, or RB, I don't think we have to address that in the early rounds. At WR I feel that we have a good group once Tone comes back. I never liked tone but we are stuck with him and he does have talent, Kerley has been awesome for us and I expect the same. Hill we are stuck with him and I hope he does develop, you can teach routes but you can't teach good hands, I hope that his many drops was just a rookie thing and not what he is. Bray is still a good WR and can help also, while we develop some young WR's like Gates if we keep him. At RB I like the tandem of Powell and Jmac now, both can run and catch. We need to get another RB to compliment them, good solid RB with speed and or power can be had in the late rounds if we have good scouting. I already talked a little about the QB but will add that a good one to develop can be had in the later rounds too or a inexpensive FA signing.

Forget the wishes or talk about signing old veterans and hope that somehow they get their old glory back, aren't we tired of that and our asses burned too much by it. We are kind of screwed to put it nicely with our cap situation and the old roster we have. I think with the bringing in of youth and the veterans we have, that we still have a good foundation and we could make the playoffs next year, but the organization has to get it right more than ever and not make bonehead mistakes with players in the draft or FA signings.

Last but not least I hope the scouting and player evaluation department gets it right and the player development follows. There is a saying the better I get the luckier I get. Meaning the better you are the better your chances of finding the diamond in the rough, seems lately we think we got the diamonds and end up with zirconia or what ever the fake diamonds are. Our draft has sucked overall the past few years.

What do you think, what do you want, where do you see us next year?
