Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE
The New York Jets have hired a new offensive coordinator to replace Tony Sparano.
There is a report from Adam Caplan, who covers the Philadelphia Eagles, that former Eagles OC Marty Mornhinweg has been hired as the new New York Jets OC:
Source said former #Eagles OC Marty Mornhinweg is expected to be named #Jets OC. Interesting fit.WCO.

This would certainly fit in with the new "attack" style offense Rex said he wants. He runs a west coast offense, and has had an offense in the Top-10 eight of the last thirteen years.
I like this hire as well as our earlier report on John Idzik. Both are great moves. Mornhinweg has a proven record of successful offenses. This will certainly ramp up rumors that Mike Vick will come to the New York Jets.
