Once upon a time about fifty years ago the Gods of Football got mad. They looked down on the NFL and decided change was needed. There weren't enough teams. They thought we should make more teams so lets have a new league an American Football League to rival the National football league. So they created teams in places like Kansas City, Boston, Houston and several others as well as another in NY. We should name the NY team the Titans. After a couple of years the Gods started to become annoyed as the NFL looked down on upon the young AFL. They decided we will give them some quality players and one will be a young upstart QB from a school in Alabama. To make this work they made other changes such as renaming the NY team the Jets. There were WR's and RB's and Lb's who were quality players and after a couple of years this team was ready. The Gods had decided it was time for the 2 leagues to play each other but in the first 2 games the NFL had dominated the upstart AFL teams and everyone laughed. The Gods got angry at the NFL and decided it was time to show them the truth. During that year the team known as the Jets played better than all other AFL teams and made it to the Holy of Holies the SuperBowl. The past 2 had been not kind to the AFL. The Gods whispered in the ear of the QB a man named Namath as he slept. You will win this game they said and whats more you will tell all who will listen that you guarantee it. So the man named Namath did as he was told and a cry filled the land. How dare you. Then he made good on his boast and the world was shocked. The AFL was accepted. However the Gods decided that for the good fortune that they had bestowed upon the Jets they would not go to the SuperBowl again for for many a year. Fast forward to today-The Gods of Football look down once more on Jet fans and say we have made them pay long enough. We shall whisper in the ear of the owner Woody and have him make some changes. He shall fire Mike T as well as many coaches and start from scratch. We shall help him bring in talented coach's and players in this year they shall take some offensive linemen and a RB and an OLB who can really rush the passer. They shall keep the QB from USC for another year to guarantee a poor season and get them more great draft picks. It will take time the second year they will draft a QB and a WR along with another OLB that can rush the passer and all will meld together. They will make the playoffs but not till SuperBowl 50.
