After watching the first three weeks of our offense, I really have to say I'm not pleased with how Tim Tebow is being used. I was actually excited when we brought him in, but after seeing the packages we are running with him I wish we didn't bother.
What I like: The highlight of Tim's playing on the feild was probably that 4th and 3 he picked up on the fake punt. Thats exactly what he was brought in for. Hes a mismatch in that spot and we took advantage of it. He also had a couple nice wild-cat play against Pittsburgh.
What I HATE: Any formation that has Mark and Tebow on the feild is a waste of a play. Tebow is put on the feild as a decoy. The one play he was thrown to he was hit in the head. HE IS NOT A WIDE RECEIVER. All this package does is it takes a potential target away from Mark to throw to. It puts him in a terrible situation. He basically knows that hes down one person to catch a ball. When we finally have an opportunity to use Tebow correctly we left him on the sideline. 1st and goal on the 1, I put Tebow in and let him run it in for a Touchdown. Settling for a feild goal on that drive was pathetic.
Either keep Mark as the QB without Tebow on the feild, or let Tebow run a couple of plays without Mark on the feild. Having them both on the feild is just a complete waste. All of those packages should be scrapped from the playbook.
