Newsday have reported the news I have been waiting for most of the day.
Antonio Allen, the Jets 7th round selection in the 2012 NFL draft who was cut yesterday has cleared waivers and will take the final spot on the practise squad.
I thought Allen did enough this off-season to warrant making the 53 man squad. Unfortunately the Jets didn't believe so, however unlike Ganaway who was claimed by the St Louis Rams, they will get Antonio back as a safety net and a prospect they can develop
