Published from last year: I have been saying this for almost 2 years now; As LONG as
Mark Sanchez is the
Jets QB, they will never get to the Super Bowl. Todays debacle only reinforces my opinion. Here are my reasons: 1st off, Sanchez is to slow in his thinking (thought processes) and then reacting to all the different situations that occur after the ball is snapped. He is not a pocket passer and constantly has to roll out much to much to be an effective downfield passer. Because of his size limitation he has way too many passes batted down at the line of scrimmage (almost 3 a game on average last year) Game after game he plays scared, afraid to be hit and take a sack. Not even mentioning his inaccuracy as a passer, but todays game is a shinning example of his many shortcommings as a QB. Under pressure he folds like a cheap suit. He's a good kid but at QB for the NY Jets, he is mediocore AT BEST!!!! I'll bet 1/2 the teams in the NFL wouldn't trade their QB for Sanchez even up. Food for fodder (lol).
I published the same post this year with the following recommendation... Now after 2 games (I'm sure I'll hear about that), maybe it's time to give Tebow a shot and try the spread offence, which Tebow can certainly run from his Florida College days... If they don't do something fast about Sanchez (at least sending him to the bench for a while), I predict another season of lost dreams... Team Prediction (8 and 8) if their lucky and out of the plaoffs again, with lots of fans making excuses for our Mediocore (nice kid) QB.
