The one thing I really dislike about the NFL season? it seems to flash by in an instance. We wait 9 months for the first game and before you know it we are onto week 2, week 5, week 11 and then it's gone again.

So here we are, back with Thursday Night Football, the appetiser to the main course of the weekends action. However what a great appetiser it is as a showdown in the NFC North takes the stage. The 1-0 Bears take on the 0-1 Packers.

This week Jay Cutler wished luck upon the Packers defensive backs unit, and it seems that a 100% record for the big mouth may have caused him to write some cheques that he can't cash. Cutler made a bone headed play in week one which was returned for a pick 6. Luckily for him the Bears were facing the re-building Colts and a nervous rookie QB making his first professional start.

Even with a battered secondary, the Packers are a different kettle of fish. Lets see if Cutler can still talk a little trash with Clay Matthews (Who had 2 1/2 sacks in week one) breathing down his neck every play. Green Bay had a tough loss to start the season against my Superbowl pick 49'ers but they were undefeated in 2011 at home and put up an average of 35 points. My money is on Jay Cutler making a dumb mistake and Green Bay with Rodgers making him pay for it.

My prediction Chicago Bears 24-31 Green Bay Packers
