The Jets faced a total of 58 defensive "plays" (i.e. plays that counted): 32 passes, 26 runs, and 0 sacks. They lined up as follows, according to my expert film review.
Base Package: 10
Nickel: 37
Dime: 8
Quarter: 1
Goal line: 2
To break it down more specificially:
3-4: 3
4-3: 7
4-2-5: 20
3-3-5: 17
3-2-6: 6
2-3-6: 2
3-1-7: 1
6-5 goal line set (I just counted down linemen and stand up players): 2
I was a little surprised that we only used the base package 10 times while being in the nickel or dime package 45, however the Bills used almost exclusively a spread formation. Something the Bills also did often was a "stack" or "bunch" formation, which the Jets countered beautifully with matchup zone. The communication was very good all game, which is encouraging because stacks can be confusing at times. I also tracked how our pass defense did against each pass, I should have those up soon after I compile and format them.
